To begin, Thursday was St. Patty's Day so of course I was going to take advantage of the holiday and my half-Irishness to go out and have a few beers with some friends. I traveled down to Silver Spring in the late afternoon to beat the horrific DC-metro traffic and hunkered down in a Starbucks to finish up the rest of my workday as I wasn't meeting up with anyone until about 6 30. Eventually the time came around and I met up with friends at the Quarry House in downtown Silver Spring. This place is pretty cool but I think it was definitely built by midgets as my tall friends were hitting their heads on the ceilings all night. Granted one of them is 7'4'' but even I had trouble as the bathroom ceiling was exactly my height, so I only just fit. We hung out for a few hours here, loving good beer and good conversation. We left at a reasonable hour, but a long-ish metro ride home and some concert watching on DVD led to a late bedtime.
Friday morning came around and I was a sleepy girl. Having to work though I got out of bed and trudged through the day, praying for 5pm. It was a gorgeous day in Baltimore (75 degrees in March!) so after work my roommate and I walked down to the new Chipotle that just opened about a mile or so down the street (can we talk about how dangerous that's going to be??) and to the liquor store to stock up on some wine for the girls night we were hosting that night. At least a bottle of wine and some catch-phrase playing later us girls decided to get out of the house and go to the bars.
Saturday was another gorgeous day so I met up with friends to watch the American University soccer game in DC in the afternoon. Even though being social took some definite effort on my part, it was a lot of fun and I'm glad I took advantage of the nice day. Saturday night was a friend's 30th birthday celebration and so we took to Adams Morgan. We started out at another friend's house where the theme was Edward 40-hands and basically get Chris as drunk as possible so he forgets that he just turned 30. I did not partake in drinking the 40's so I actually made it the bars fairly sober. However, Beth's cousin Amy would not be having any of that and proceeded to get us all shot after shot without our asking until things get kinda hazy. I believe we eventually got to bed around 4am since we missed the last metro and had to cab all the way home to Silver Spring.
Sunday morning brought me not feeling all too bad, just a general tired laziness and a touch of a headache. We managed to actually run some errands (yay car washes!) before settling in with some movies and laying on the couch all afternoon. I didn't actually nap at all on Sunday so I was feeling completely exhausted Sunday night. However, this didn't go away with a good night's sleep. Come Monday morning I was feeling even more tired if you can believe it and so while I got up early with the best intentions of having a productive day, I took at least 2 naps during the day. Needless to say, my productivity was at level zero. All day I kept wondering when was it that I began needing two whole days to recover from a weekend??? I tried to have a good laugh about it, but when Tuesday rolled around and I was still not feeling like myself I started to get into a good panic. Midway through Tuesday I was feeling fine but seriously, was that just almost a three day hangover I had? Oh lordy, it may be time to start reeling in the debauchery...

hahah i love it!!! I've been on a bender lately too!! I say F it and keep it up! It'll only get worse as we get older so might as well do it now!!
